Aeronautical Museum and Children's Learning Center
Our vision is to create a state-of-the-art Aeronautical Museum and Children's Learning Center at the Bakersfield Municipal Airport that will serve as a hub for aviation enthusiasts, pilots, students, children, educational organizations, tourists, and the public in general.
The Aeronautical Museum will feature a diverse indoor collection of historic information, artifacts, interactive and virtual exhibits, photos, video displays, and a bookstore. The museum is designed to inspire, educate, and engage visitors of all ages. It will be a venue for community events and field trips. In addition, it will become an entertainment and recreational attraction in the area.

The Children's Learning Center will focus on developing aviation and STEM related educational programs, and activities with flight simulators designed for kids and adults. There will be a library and repository of historical and current aerospace educational materials that will be available to educators and educational organizations for use in their programs.
